Day 3: Favorite TV show
If you ask anyone I live[d] with they will tell you I love watching TV especially cartoons. You’re never too old for cartoons! SpongeBob SquarePants, King of the Hill, Family Guy (sometimes), Futurama, South Park, and of course The Simpsons. The Simpsons have certainly changed over their years in something as simple as the personalities of the characters. Why doesn’t Skinner reference his time in the Vietnam War anymore? My favorite seasons of The Simpsons was probably around 8 or 9. There is no way I can pick an all time favorite episode. I can’t pick an all time favorite character either. Favorite quote? Even more difficult. My favorite quote would be something that I could use all the time. Like when Lisa asks her dad how he’s going to earn money and he jokingly says “through savings and wise investments” or when Homer can’t stop thinking of Ned Flanders in his skin-tight skiing suit because it feels like he’s wearing “nothing at all. Nothing at all. Nothing at all!” as the camera zooms in on his butt, LOL. I guess these quotes work visually the most. This clip is from one of the many musical numbers on the TV show. I’ve got all the words down, probably because I have the CD :)
Honorable mention goes to Law & Order SVU which I watch marathons of. Other favorite shows are Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Wire, True Blood, Entourage, House, Lost ::sad face::, Southland, and Dexter. (Not many sitcoms/ comedies.) If only to be able to do a scene like Jimmy Smits/ Miguel Prado in this next clip. Amazing!
